History

Alyzande at Anglesey Abbey.The particular times of history that fascinate me are:

The Dark Ages - because we have so little evidence. This is the time when our country changed from post-Roman Brittannia to Anglosaxon England.

Jacobean England and "Great Britain" - The period between Elizabethan and Civil War. I'm particularly interested in the very sexy George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham, a flambouyant "favourite" of King James I.

The future of my history

Next year, I'm hoping to do A levels in History and Ancient History, and possibly in English Literature as a preparation for higher study.

We're family members of the National Trust and English Heritage and are always out and about visiting houses and historical sites.
